Tara Lipinski - Roller Skating

We know that the worlds of figure ice skating and artistic roller skating are two completely thought of sports and perhaps the latter is not even known of to some in the ice community. We did stop by here however to offer some visuals to the Tara Lipinski fans and ice fans out there. The CanAm Crew are a group of former elite artistic roller skaters who have a website promoting their sport of roller skating. Inside that site is a section called The Vault which shows video clips of some of the greatest skaters to grace our wooden floor. As some may know Tara started out a roller skater and we have her Primary Girls National Championship performance for viewing. It's in the "canam tv" box and the year is 1991. While there, take a look at some of the other videos. A true skating fan may appreciate the great roller skaters such as Tim McGuire and Scott Cohen for the men and Paul Price and Tina Kneisley for pairs.

Spinnings and jumpings on roller got to be more difficult than on skates, because of the weight of the skates. Is there an ongoing effort to get artistic roller skating into the Summer Olympics?
