I just saw a new Sarah Hughes commercial sponsored by GE for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It was a beautifully done commercial.
Opens with Sarah skating doing various positions. Announcer's voice, "Sarah Hughes has celebrated many victories, but none as meaningful as her mother's victory over breast cancer." Pan to a shot of Sarah's mom sitting in the empty stands, Sarah skates to her and gives her a hug. Cut to a shot of the tracings on the ice that look like the pink ribbon that is the symbol for breast cancer survivors.
Great spot! :)
If this has already been discussed, sorry for the duplicate.

I have to say, SH skating has never been a favorite of mine and I was somewhat disappointed that she won the gold medal at the Olympics (although she deserved it). But her behavior afterwards has been outstanding and she definitly grows on you as a person. Good for her.

Flutzee, I'm in the Seattle area too - what channel did you see it on, and at approximately what time?
I have a friend who is a breast cancer survivor and she is also a Sarah fan. I'd like to get this on tape for her before the commercial stops airing.

I'm not a Sarah fan myself, but that does seem like nice commercial and i'm glad that her mom's ok. I'd like to see it.

Hi, amethyst! I actually saw it on MSNBC about 2 minutes before I posted this. :) MSNBC tend to re-run their commercials every hour or two so it shouldn't take you too long to see it.
Sounds like a lovely commercial...thanks for posting.

Sounds nice! Hopefully it'll get aired whenever Sarah's TV special is on NBC. :)

I've seen the commercial the last few days during the Today Show on NBC. They've run it a couple times during the show.

I can't believe I didn't see this commercial yet!! I'll have to swallow my pride and watch the Today show every day until I see it.
Sounds like a great ad.
And btw, I've always been a fan of her skating.
