Ok people!!!!! I thought we could have a little fun today by inventing just one new move for each Discipline. I want you to name your idea for a move and how it would work. Please use the following format and only give one new move each.

Freestyle = Top- Spin = The skater would spin and look like a top making their body scouch down gradually.

Pairs = Pair Cartwheel = The man would catch the girl when she came out of a cartwheel.

Ice - Dance = I don't know the moves well enough to know if something might be new.

Synchronized Skating = Don't quote me on this one. I'm assuming it may be new. As I've never seen Synchros. do them. But I'd say = A lift throw = Skaters would throw a skater up when lifting and catch her. Wheather throws ARE allowed in Synchro. I need a Synchronized Skater to confurm that.

So those are mine. Remember this is all just for fun. Ok people....GO!!!!

Hey FSWer- have you seen this program? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HPfk1dIEuM at about 4:28 they kind of do an assisted cartwheel, and in this program at 1:08 of this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r4mn_cT5d0 one of the groups does a move where one does a cartwheel, then the other one does a cartwheel over them (that's VERY cool) though neither is really exactly what you described for pairs- I thought they were kind of the same idea.

i am thinking but no new ideas come to my head but maybe a cartwheel and maybe at pairs like an lift hand to hand assisted but the landing it would be like an lutz lift

Do you know the move cantilever? I'm thinking it'd be really cool if somebody could spin like that - especially in a pairs skating programme styled like the movie Matrix!

for free skating, what about counter rotating jumps, that turn against the rotation. They would be very unnatural and therefore very difficult, especially the landing

You mean like the walley? Or like doing a CCW flip-CW lutz combination?

no. more like set up normally as for the jump but rotate in the opposite direction. It could work for axel but not so sure about the other jumps.

I'd like to see a pairs spiral in catch-foot or bielmann position where they hold each other's skate.
