Would you want to be a Pairs Skater or Ice-Dancer,what do you think it would be like?

Ok people!!!! I don't think we've done a "would you want to be a Pairs Skate or Ice-Dancer" Thread in a while. So here we go...Today though I not only want you to tell me between the 2 if you could be one,if you'ld want to be either a Pairs Skater or Ice-Dancer (choose 1). But I also want you to please tell me after you pick it what you think it would be like. So for me... I voted to be a Pairs Skater if I could because I would love to do the tricks and what I think it would be like is I'd be having fun throwing MY Partner and trying to do all the moves I've seen Pairs do. I wwould never want to get off the ice. SO that's what it would be like for me.

i voted for ice dancer but is hard decide ,because also can be pairs is very hard because i like it both.

why ice dancing is very elegant and is very niceand pairs with all the moves also i like it a lot ,from the last time i like it a lot more

I vote for ice dance but only b/ I can do the dance solo! Sorry, but I skate alone!!! No partners for me. :giveup:

Well I would have to vote for pairs, primarily because I am a pair guy:lol: and having just landed a new partner to work with, things are looking rosy:D
I did consider switching to dance if I couldn't find a pair girl but I like jumps and big lifts too much and a switch would be very much a final option!!!

I know that once you have skated as a pair, there will always be something missing when you go solo and it can get quite lonely at times, even on a packed rink

If I it were a perfect world, I would pick pairs hands down. It is absolutely my favorite discipline to watch, and I think it looks the most fun to do.

In my life, however, I couldn't do it- just not a possibility for me.

So assuming a partner came along, I would pick ice dance.

(And although I'm starting to dabble in dance, synchro and singles are enough for me right now)
