Ashley Wagner at my rink

Ashley Wagner came and skated at my rinky-dink too-small mall rink on Monday. She skated an afternoon freestyle and she's lucky she picked that day, as any other day is typically pretty crowded! She worked on her programs a bit (just pieces, not full run throughs) and she's looking great! I have no idea what she was doing in Portland, although when she used to live in Alaska she competed around here (although not at my rink, we don't have a USFS competition...). Her brother skated as well! Here's a couple of bad phone pics I took...

Actually she did live in Portland for a while - I think she skated at Mt. View... anyway I know some people who remember her - she was just one of the ones... (at that time)

That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. I didn't talk to her, but Dody did come to the rink to see her.

COOL!!!!!! Did you get to meet at talk to her? Is she nice? BTW. while were talking about her. Would anyone like the link to my new board about her? Say btw. those are great pics. Is there any chance you can please clear them up a bit and send me a link to them? As I'd really like to save them in my folders. BTW. I didn't know Ashley was a sister. There's not much mention of her brother. Is he a Figure Skater too? Thanks.

Yes her brother is a skater. He took 13th in the QR of JN's last year as an Intermediate.

I think its funny she is wearing gloves at a mall rink! :) So many kids skate half naked at our mall rink since they are so much warmer then your normal rinks :) hehe.. You just would think she would be used to a cold big rink and could handle a mall.. Just kind of cute.
