Say I haven't heard anything about them for this year. Does anyone know if Emily is competing this year? Or what has happened up till now with Michelle Kwan?

Yes, Emily should be competing in the 2008-2009 season and she is scheduled to appear in the 2008 Trophée Eric Bompard Grand Prix event. Emily will be skating to "I've Got Rhythm" for her short program; however, her long program music has not been confirmed. Her long program is rumored to be selections from Gone With the Wind.

Or what has happened up till now with Michelle Kwan?

In 2007, Michelle reportedly told the Associated Press that she will make a decision regarding a possible return to competitive skating [in the 2010 winter Olympics] sometime in 2009. If she competes at the 2010 Olympics, Michelle, who maintains that she has not retired yet, will be 29 years old.

I don't know anything about Michelle, but Emily is supposed to be competing at Mid Atlantics at the Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers next weekend. I think she might be skating to Gone with the Wind, because she was practicing at my rink last weekend, and that music was the only program I didn't recognize, but I'm not really sure...
