Just for discussion purposes, let's say you are part of a Club that rents two hours of ice time weekly. The Club has a mix of high- and low-level skaters of all ages.
What would you recommend doing with the ice time?

We don't yet rent two hours, but are planning to. The hour we currently have is used for synchro. The second hour will be a freestyle, but with certain upper-level things not allowed (we have more lowe level than high level skaters).

You could always split it into a session (1 hour) of high freestylers, for instance, Intermediate and above, with another session (the last hour) for low freestylers, like Juvenile and below.
If you'd like, although this may be getting too complicated if a skater is high MIF/low freestyle or some other incompatible level combination, you could possibly devote the first 10-15 min. of each high and low session to MIF strictly with Novice+ for the high session and Intermediate and below on the low session. I'm sure this would be a pain for those kids who are high MIF and low freestyle since they'd have to sit and wait around for the appropriate freestyle session, something I did as a kid. What a long day, LOL!
I guess it would really depend on the number of high and low skaters you have. I can't imagine the practicality of devoting an hour to three or so high level skaters when you've got 20+ lower skaters crammed on the low session.
