Horrific Hockey Accident

Oh my goodness! It had never occured to me something like this could happen during a hockey game. (Maybe with pairs skaters!)

Yeah, I saw this on MSNBC.com this morning. I showed my daughter and told her this is what happens when you don't pay attention on the ice. We're all rooting for him to make a safe recovery!

There are videos up on youtube, but some of them are really graphic. Just search youtube for Richard Zednik and it will come up. But it's really scary looking, he just had loads of blood in seconds. He did stay concious the whole time, he actually skated all the way to the bench, but then pretty much collapsed into the hands of the trainer.

This was all over the local news here. Apparently, there was a similiar accident in 1989 at a Sabres game, but it was Sabres player that time. There were people in the crowd that had also witnessed the previous accident, so you can image how terrifying it was for them.

Thats a pretty scary thing to have seen. I hope he recovers well.
