U.S. Figure Skating officials contacted the International Skating Union on Wednesday about the software it uses to compute skaters' scores after a question was raised following last week's tie in the senior men's competition at the national championships.

They were questioning how the computer program rounded up (or down) scores. From the way the article was written, if you didn't read past the first couple of sentences, you'd think they were questoning the fact that there was actually a tie. Of course there's always the chance of a tie, a really tiny chance in this instance.
