After seeing about a thousand pictures of Mirai Nagasu in her (?) catchfoot layback spin that seemed to accompany every article today, I looked for some pictures of her older programs.

IT AMAZED ME how she was in almost EXACTLY the same position (in one her head is slightly lower than the other two, and one is mirror image) but it's like someone took photoshop and changed the costume. I thought someone else might be interested in seeing this- and a challenge- what skater can you find in the "exact" same spin position in multiple photos?

even her hands are in the same position!

I'll probably hate you in the AM as I am going to look for some pictures now rather than go to sleep. I'll post if I find any

In the first picture, her skate's not touching her head, but it is the the second two. In the third picture, her leg arched further than in the 2nd picture. She's got great consistency, which is what I wish I had. I'm trying to get more revolutions on my two-foot spin, but I range from 2 to 7 revolutions, and lose my balance often. I'm only getting 2 revs on my scratch spin (if I'm lucky). Mirai is awesome, and not just for a 14-year-old. I know I'll never be that good, but I hope my daughter can!
