Check the Unseen Skaters forum for results. Some are in for Intermediate and Juvenile.

IceNetwork has all of Wednesday's results up, along with a "notebook" article and backstage photos: http://web.icenetwork.com/events/detail.jsp?id=34518

This event is being held at the rink I skate at! There are SOOO many people! I'll see what I can find out in terms of competition results.

Kimberley - I'm coming to watch on Saturday. Are the stands full. Do I need to get a ticket at Smithtix in advance? I know I can get one at the door, but if it's full, that may be an issue. In other words, do you think most of the competitors who aren't in the finals will go home before Saturday?

I would think most competitors would leave before saturday. However, it may be crowded with fans since it is a weekend. To be safe, buy a ticket at SmithTix and arrive early so that you can find seating. Have you been to the rink before?? There is much more seating for the West Rink. The East rink stands are much smaller.

I went on Tuesday night to check out some of the vendors (they are on the second level above the West rink). Parking was crazy!!! And the competition had not even officially started. There is a parking lot to the North of the complex that is typically for the University, but being a Saturday, you should be able to park there at no cost.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I only went on Tuesday, and it wasn't too crowded yet. I can imagine it's a very busy place now.

I'm there a lot so I know what you are talking about. I'm wondering if we will have to enter from the north end from the outside, or if we can come in the main entrance. We checked out Smithtix but they are adding a service fee of $4.50. I don't think so. We will just come in the morning and assume we can get in. I'm not that worried.

Thanks for the post and the information.

Keep in mind most of the competitors are from across the country, who would have most likely booked tickets to leave Sunday, or whenever their finals would be done. Even if they don't make the finals, I doubt that many will leave before the end of the competition.

I'm very excited for the juvenile pair champs - Olivia and Tyler - she is the daughter of my former coach. And I'm feeling quite pleased with myself because months ago I asked them to be guest skaters at our skating show this Spring!

Also feeling pretty good - our local Juvenile Dance team won the gold!! Also the Intermediate Dance team from Seattle also won the Gold, and although they are not from Portland, I did get a chance to skate with the young man gold medalist just a month ago!!

Congratulations to all of the skaters!!
