I had the opportunity to watch "The Scott Hamilton and Friends Show at Cleveland this Saturday, and tell you what, Katia is Back!!! And looking good as ever!!! She doesn't look like someone who just had a baby a year and half ago, she doesn't seem to age to me especially with that pony tail signature that she has. She is just plain gorgeous. I am so glad I didn't bring my camera because it will be impossible to take her pictures. I didn't realize how fast she moves on ice. I mean she moves like the speed of lightning, but nevertheless always graceful and a delight to watch. I am so glad she hasn't totally quit skating.
That's great news, speed! Katia deserves all the praise she's ever gotten, IMO...she's that good and I'm glad she's back. I wish she'd be in Stars, but it's good that she has her priorities in order.

Here's some photos of Katia from the Scott Hamilton and Friends show--unfortunately, I couldn't find any photos of her actual performance, but she looked great in the backstage photos:

Even though Katia is no longer touring with SOI, she has recently said she hopes to appear in more events than she did over the past few years, so that's great news for fans!

Those are wonderful pictures, thank you for sharing. She looks so happy and relax. I guess the break from skating really did her good, and being with the family. I just wish there were pictures of her while skating, or on the ice just so that people will see how fit she and great she really looks. And I'm also glad she is doing a couple of more shows this year. I can't wait for divas on Ice, and Holiday on Ice.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to get you so excited, I meant to say, Holiday Celebration on Ice, Dec. 5, at the BI-LO Center at Greenville SC. I just double check to make sure I have the right title of the show, this time. I think this show is the one with Charlotte Church and it has a great casting, well I guess it depends on which skaters you favor. I believe Ilia is going to be in it too, and he is fun to watch also, so much energy on that guy. If you check the pairsonice website, they pretty much have a lists of the shows that Katia will be participating in. I'm not sure how far Kitchener is from the U.S. border but I drove about 7 hours one way to see Katia at Cleveland this weekend, call me crazy but it was well worth it, especially for a good cause.

I agree Katia is back and she looked beautiful out there on the ice. It made me realize just how much I've missed her presence.
Speed, I PM you to find out if you know the names of 3 songs the skaters used. I've written a review and wanted to include those. Hopefully you'll know them.

IceQueen, Hi I'm not sure which 3 songs you are talking about, and which skaters. I wasn't really paying much attention to the music, I was just trying to enjoy the skating part of the show. At this time I don't even remember the music that the casts skated to at the very beginning when they were lined up and skated to the other end of the ice rink and back. Scott invited Gary Morris to the Show and he did quite a few songs and one of which Scott skated before on TV wearing a white shirt and black pants. He skated this on his last show on Stars On Ice, and usually skates it in remembrance to his late mother. Gary Morris also sang a new song coming out of his new CD and I don't remember what it was. Sorry.

Speed, I wrote the review with only the songs I knew for sure. So many of those songs I've heard before but haven't a clue what the names of them are. LOL! I will say that I enjoyed this years show much better then last. I didn't care for Jake Mack & the heart attacks last year. Gary Morris is much better and it gave the whole show a relaxed & romantic feeling.

Sorry Ice Queen, couldn't help you on that area. I'm not very good at remember Songs or Music Titles and Artists, but I am good at remembering the tune or the beat of the music, and sometimes lyrics, but never on titles. LOL. Like the music that Katia skated to I remember along the line it says, "maybe because of the little things that you do" and "You kiss me once, I kiss you twice", something like that. But then also I read somewhere that the title is Paradise. Although, I believe Kristi's skated to the music, Satisfaction, well that's an old song. I wish I could be of more help. But you were right, the songs that Gary Morris sang put some romance in the air, which probably led to Scott's proposal to his girlfriend. LOL. I wish them the best. They looked like a great couple.
