I first discovered the team of Domnina & Shabalin by downloading videos of them from Rinkside. I had heard people talking about them, was curious, and so I watched their Afro-Latin Mix free dance. What I saw definitely sparked my interest: here is a team that shows great promise in ice dancing! Personally I think they have been skating in the shadow of the higher-ranked Russian ice dance team. I am very happy that Oksana & Maxim had a great 2004/2005 season and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for them!
