Thank You for posting that. As usual there is very little coverage of the Grand Prix circuit, but looks good for Skate Canada, Worlds and GP final.
I realize our coverage in Canada is better than most countries, but I wish we could see it all! Can't complain though!

Is this some sort of joke?! We don't get to see any of the other GP events until Dec.8th!! I thought that perhaps being a post-Olympic year that we might see some better coverage of the GP series like we did in the 98/99 season. If they're going to show the competitions so late would it kill them to add two hours of coverage to each?

TSN has now delayed their broadcasts of Skate America, Bofrost, etc. even later :(

We will have to wait until February!

Check it out for yourself on CTV/TSN figure skating schedule (http://www.tsn.ca/figure_skating/feature.asp?fid=2865)

Here's a link for French Sports station RDS:
http://www.rds.ca/cgi-bin/rds?REQ=HOR&T=hr2&SPODIR=antenne&J=&M=&A=02&S=PATINAGE+ART.-VIT.&SUBMIT=Chercher

I believe some of the GP events would be aired before TSN's. They often also show more skaters.

After checking both TSN & RDS...it seems like RDS is showing all GP events earlier.
Of course it's in French...but it's easy to figure ...no pun intended, what the heck they're talking about. 8-)

GRAND PRIX EVENTS AIRED IN FEBRUARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That really sucks, but thank goodness I have ABC, they air the competition a week after it's finished.

Who says Canadian networks have better skating schedules than Americans?

Canada used to have the best figure skating coverage, but since it partnered up with TSN, it hasn't been that good. Not showing GP events until February? I liked it better when they used to show GP events on the former CTV sportnet.

Cheeck carefuly the events listed on the RDS station--it says the events are from 2002! So they're not earlier, they're even later!

Is there a schedule somewhere that explains exactly what's on each Skate Canada broadcast? A friend is capping the exhibition broadcast for me and I am not sure which one it is.

Also, will the Skate America Ladies SPs be aired at any point on TSN/CTV?

Go to TSN/CTV schedule (http://www.tsn.ca/figure_skating/feature.asp?fid=2865) to see the broadcast schedule for Thursday through Sunday and for the following Sunday.

I believe that the exhibition will be shown on the Sunday following Skate Canada's completion (i.e. Nov. 9th) from 7 to 9 p.m. That is the normal pattern for CTV - it is never shown live and is often shown a week later.

I think the exhibition will be shown on Saturday, not Sunday. Yeah. I just checked Skate Canada's site. Saturday the 11th at 7PM.

CBC is showing highlights from all of the GPs (except SC of course) and the GP Final. All will be aired in December with the Final being broken down into two parts...the same format as they have done the past two years.

EDIT: Wait a second. This is a really, really old thread. Nevermind. I'm just confused. lol
