Is it just me or did the Chinese pair team of Zhang & Zhang use that same piece of music last year for their short program? Well anyways, I like and I definitely think that Irina can make it quite a crown-pleaser!

Shen and Zhao used "Kismet" by Bond. I don't think "Victory" has been used by an elite skater, although Ryan Bradley used a small section of it in last year's short program combined with two other Bond pieces.

Yup, tha Zhangs definitely used Victory also from Bond. Bond's become immensely popular in the last year or so ... Quixote is already way overskated to.

I can also confirm that the Bond CD was passed around in China, with S&Z using Kismet and the Zhangs Victory in their SPs. :) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Irina's version!

A lot of skaters are skating to bond. Yagudin used 'Winter' for his SP last season and Z&H used 'Kismet'.

This music is prefect for Irina, I know she will do great with it.

Bond seems to be the choice for this season. Kristina Oblasova (Kismet), Irina (Victory), Beatrisa Liang (The Duel), Daniel Harries (Quixote), Ivan Dinev (Medely), Neil Wilson (Winter), among others are all skating to Bond.

Yes, indeed...it appears we are in for a year of Bond and Pearl Harbor....well if something is going to be overused, at least it's something I like! :)

So long as Pearl Harbor doesn't *keep* being overused, ala MITIM, the Mummy and Mask of Zorro!!! :roll:

But for this season, I don't think I'll mind it. Now if only an elite skater (shown frequently on TV) would use A Beautiful Mind...I recently saw the movie and really loved the soundtrack.
