If anyone is watching GMA now, they are going to do a story on William Sears this hour. It has probably already been on in the East.

It was an interview with Robin Roberts, the parents, Katie, and the ABC medical correspondent (Dr. Tim Johnson?)

The medical assessment is that this is still a mystery. At this point they are looking at some sort of problem with the heart muscle, or some sort of electrical failure in the heart. The results will take several weeks.

The rest of the interview was the parents describing William and Katie telling her memories and how she felt about him. It is clear that this is very hard for them.

I'll see if the GMA (http://abcnews.go.com/sections/GMA/index.html) page actually updates it with a video. I can't find it yet.. maybe too early?

I watched it this morning. It was actually quite lengthy and presented very thoughtfully with respect to his family. They started with his parents and basically talked about what kind of person he was. How touched they were to find out how many people thought so highly of their son and all the friends he had because of the kind of person he was. Good Morning America would keep showing clips of him skating with his partner during the interview. They then spoke to Katie who was seated with his parents. She said how much he took care of her and how much she liked him, both off and on the ice. She also said they dreamed of competing in the 2006 Olympics and she would start looking for another partner because she needed to skate. For herself, her family, Will's family and Will. She said he would want her to keep skating and his parents agreed. They then spoke to Good Morning America medical correspondent Dr. Tim Someone. He listed a handful of things that are usually the cause of someone dying with no apparent reason. Like A.H.Black summarized, it could be something with his heart, an electrical problem, recreational drug use (He said it's considered in all unexplained deaths but the toxicology result will rule that out, they in NO WAY implied that drugs had anything to do with his death... simply listed things that are ruled out in all deaths of this nature) and something else to do with a cardic problem but I don't remember exactly what it was. The Dr. said that often there is no answer and he would look closely at the electrical problem with his heart, because it would leave no cause of death.

Hope that helps for those who missed.

Melanie - thanks for posting that. I'm so glad to hear that his family is in good spirits and Katie is doing well too. :)
