It says Rudy has re-gained all his jumps except the triple axel, which I don't recall he ever was able to do. But otherwise it's a nice article.

I love the way he jumps straight up! It's sad that he needed the surgery, but I'm glad he can skate again - Rudy's a delight to watch.

I thought the fluid 3Axel was what Rudy was known for, skating-wise.

 You are so right! What I remember from his '96 Nationals performance was the fluidity and musicality, less the technical elements. I dragged my husband, a non-skating fan, to a COI performance a few years ago, and he said that Rudy was worth the price of admission, he was such a good entertainer. I'm amazed that he is able to do so much skating after hip replacements.

What a great article about Rudy Galindo. It's amazing that he's still doing triples with all he's been through. The writer forgot to mention that his mom is of Italian descent though. Thanks for posting this article!

I was there for that performance and Rudy was amazing. He landed every jump he attempted and you wouldn't have even known his hips were replaced. He is hilarious  His performance was one of the ones that made me laugh. He is something else.
