:D She's a junior national team gymnast, and considered one of the favorites for the world team next year. One of the best in the world on bars and beam.

What great articles! Can someone refresh my memory on how Tiffany and Larry got invited to Jr Worlds at the last minute?
Also, what are the odds of either of these teams being sent to Jr Worlds this coming year? What is the USFSA's usual method of picking the team? It seems like there are lots of senior teams ready to duke it out this year. Are any of them age-eligible for Jr Worlds, and is the USFSA likely to send senior skaters in pairs to Jr Worlds?

The team originally named was Stiegler & Stiegler, Don & Guzman, and Ganaba & Ganaba. D&G split before junior worlds, Ganabas got injured (and have now apparently split or quit or something). Appel & Harris were the first alternates as junior national champs; Vise & Ibarra were second alternates because the junior silver medalists weren't eligible for age reasons. So V&I got called shortly before the event when the Ganabas had to withdraw.

Vise & Ibarra have an extremely good shot at being chosen for the junior world team if they do a decent job in the events leading up to junior worlds; Vise & Kole might have a shot but are by no means a sure thing. The USFSA generally chooses based on fall events and performances at nationals. Vise & Ibarra, as our top finishers from last year, will be watched very closely. In seniors, so will the Stieglers, Don & Hunt, and possibly Roth & McPherson; I can't think of anyone else who's eligible and likely to do well enough. In juniors, the main contenders besides Vise & Kole will be Howerton & Pottenger, Appel & Harris, and maybe one or two other teams. But only the junior champs would be likely to have a shot at the team, if any juniors are named at all, and my personal guess is that Howerton & Pottenger are going to wind up winning that one.

Larry turned 19 in April and so would be eligible with tTffany again.
They will be competing at Mids as a senior team this year, but I feel they will go to Junior Worlds again, as will Howerton and Pottenger...those are the 2 teams I believe have a solid future.
