I'll have to watch tonight to see if I agree with #1 vs. #2, but based on what I've seen of their programs in the past, it's sooo hard to judge between these two teams. Apples and oranges doesn't even begin to describe it! Albena & Maxim skate so theatrically, and Marie-France and Patrice have such a wonderful true "dance" dance.

And a great showing for Tessa and Scott! These two really have the "it" factor, I just love watching them skate.

I had #1 and #2 the same, but surprisingly I had Belbin and Agosto in 4th behind the Russians. I was surprised B&A medaled, Tanith was not very good.

CBC could have shown the third Canadian dance team on primetime even though that team fiinished in 20th place.... THey showed all week all Canadian skaters except that dance team...

Congrats to D/B for their silver. The Bulgarians definitely deserved the gold.

But for me the performance of the night had to go to Virtue/Moir.

They were also the ONLY team to get Level 4's on ALL of their elements!

I thought Virtue and Moir were stunning - and their program is the sort I normally hate (I'm much more into lively stuff ), so it must have been extra stunning.

Our commentators said they've been together for over a decade - wow, imagine starting out as a couple aged 6 and 8!

I loved Virtue & Moir. I have a new favourite dance couple

I think it is cool that there are 4 North American teams in the Top 7!

If you had told me 6 year ago that North America would be so well represented at Worlds, I would have laughed and thrown a donut at you! LOLOL

Now, I am just waiting a couple years for that North American sweep! :halo:

The Bulgarians totally deserved to win...they skated without hesitation and really sold their program. D&L while beautiful together skated too cautiously and didn't seem to go for it. I guess they wanted the gold too badly...which is too bad...I found their twizzles too slow and slighty off unison during one section. Still, they should be proud to be World medallists again...I wonder if they'll stick around one more year, knowing that D&S will not be around next year...

I'm thinking yes, especially after seeing that fluff piece where Marie-France said that she wanted to quit after Turino, but their coach said "You are improving everyday. Now is not the time to quit."

I like all of this year's medalists, but agree that the Bulgarians were the best team in this competition.

Tanith & Ben were actually 4th in the free dance, but their placement in the OD kept them on the podium.

And I have to agree with the assessments of #1 and 2. Normally I vastly prefer the programs of Marie-France and Patrice, but it wasn't their night. Too bad too, it's such a brilliant program and deserved to win, but it needed to be skated as well as it was at the GPF or 4CC or Nationals.

I was *wow* by the fact that Denkova and Staviski chose to dance to a Japanese pop song for their gala. :D
