Sarah's younger sister.

Hey guys. This is amazing!!!!!! I was just playing Sarah Hughes Hangman, and it says Sarah has a younger sister named...Rebecca!!!!!! It's funny that the skating world never mentions her.

I believe Sarah does have a sister named Rebecca and another younger sister besides Emily--but the younger sister is named Taylor, and Rebecca is actually the oldest of the Hughes kids. :) I'm not completely sure about that, but I'm fairly sure. As for why we don't hear about the other Hughes sisters in the skating world, I don't think either of them skate--or if the youngest sister does, she's not advanced enough to have made much of an impression. That would probably be why they're rarely mentioned.

Really? How old are Rebecca and Tayor? Are there any links on-line showing pictures of them? Do any of them plan to follow-in their other 2 bsister's footsteps?

Actually, one of Sarah's younger sisters, Emily, is quite and accomplished Junior level skater. She placed 12th last year at Nationals in the Junior level, and just recently won the Mid-Atlantic comp. in NY. She was also featured in the book "A Very Young Skater" that came out last year prior to the Olympics. It profiles a typical day for Emily, talks a little about having Sarah as a sister and has a great collection of photos. Taylor, the youngest skates as well, but is not elite level skater.

Rebecca is the oldest, i dont know how old she is but i believe she's in her early 20's. i know that she is married though.

Hi,

I went to college with Rebecca Hughes, Sara's older sister. She is 25 and was married last summer. Currently, she is in her second year at a prestigous NYC law school.

Edited to add:
Emily and Taylor are younger than Sara and both skate. Emily just won Jr ladies at Middle Atlantics last weekend. Rebecca skated recreationally as a child, but didn't really like it. The boys (sorry don't know much about them) play hockey. So, all of the Hughes (except for mom) can stand up on the ice. They are a very athletic family!
