I'm having trouble with the tongue of my boot slipping down and pressing on top of my toes. It gets very uncomfortable and I have to keep stopping to pull it up and re-lace. Does anyone have any ideas for ways I could make it stop doing that? Is it possible to have a center hook added?

I used to have some training shoes which had a lace loop just for that purpose ...

Yes you can have a center hook added quite easily.. and you probably don't even need to take your skates to the bootmaker. A good shoe repair shop should be able to tear out the rubber or sheepskin on the tongue, put the hook in, put back the rubber or sheepskin (or replace it, if it's really compressed) and have you good to go in a very short time. Of course, you could have the bootmaker do it too, if that's convenient for you. I think you'll find it's a great improvement to slipping boot tongues!
