Yeah, I don't see any kind of link to the skating photos either?

I just went to their website, and can't find any skating pictures at all. Where did you go on http://www.pierre.com/ to find your pictures? Why is this taking so long???
They have a weird naming system, you have to actually type in your name.
http://www.pierre.com/eastern/lastnamefirstname
ex: http://www.pierre.com/eastern/doejane
I found it very weird that they did it this way.
Some people's still aren't up - mskater, I tried yours and it's not there. I can't figure out how they put the team photos up, either.

This is so rediculous. I typed in the URL as you advised, and I get
"This page can't be found." Totally, unprofessional to make it hard for the skaters to see their stills. Not surprised, though, the entire competition was run that way including the hotel.

(I saw vesperholly's, Moves Guru, and a few of Frank's (who looked VERY nice in the pictures, I might add! :D ) so far. I don't see either NoVa Sk8r's or LoopLoop so far.)
Be patient for at least another week. It's not easy to do photography that can get out right away unless you pick the right photography with the type of equipment that can get the pictures out right then and there. I have a feeling that when they're done downloading the pictures that they'll have a much easier website to navigate thru. :)

I've seen vesper and Stormy and FrankR's (great positions, guys!), but i'm wondering if you had to ask the photographer about your photos for them to be posted at all. I never even looked at my photos at Easterns (mine usually do not turn out well), so I doubt they'd ever be online.

Yeah, I'm getting 'nothing' too when I try the link - very weird?

Thanks for the compliment, Stephen. :)
I also think you have a very good point regarding asking the photographer about the pictures for them to be posted. I didn't have time to look through my pictures Saturday or Sunday. However, I did stop by the photographer's table and asked about them. She took down my e-mail address and then gave me one of their order forms and told me they'd be posted online.
Maybe they intend to post everyone's pictures but they're starting with those people that gave them e-mail addresses. I can't be sure of that though.
Andrea, why not just shoot them an e-mail and ask about your pictures? I would assume that they would be happy to post them for you.

I just got a chance to look at your pictures, Jocelyn. Stephen's quite right. They're very lovely. :)
I'd love to see Stormy's but I have no idea what Stormy's real name is. lol  I also didn't get a chance to meet you, Stormy. I'd love to remedy that in Chicago. :D

I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to meet! I did see you skate and was among the WOWed!! Great skate!! We'll remedy the non-meet in Chicago, I promise! I'll PM you my name, although my pics certainly aren't anything impressive! :)

The Pairs video is coming off very clippy... so I'll have to watch and see why it's chimpy (or watch it from a fast network so I don't get stuck at frames!

My guess is they just want to get the Qualifying event out first and I suspect that the NQ will come after they get all the other qualifying events out (so I expect that I'll see qualifying from PCAS in a bit too.) ;)
Okay, I see Pairs now too... well sorta. My computer is kinda old... even with DSL the video is still choppy. :x (2salch0w, I didn't know you're a lefty skater like me!!! LEFTY SKATERS RULE!!! :P Right, Frank? ;) )
Move Guru skates as beautifully as always... and I think Frank is starting to mimic the guy in style too. I could have swoon that I've noticed a few spirals and other arm gesture things in Frank's program that I see in the Move Guru's!!! It's almost eerie!!! :P (And Frank, if you borrow Edward's pirate white shirt with the fluff in the front, I will have the Flap Patrol (skaternum) come after you with the scissors!!! :P )

Wow! Thanks for all the nice comments. Edward is my choreographer (and my moves coach, and one of two freestyle coaches and at times my skating shrink..lol  ) so I guess it's not surprising that I'm starting to emulate his style a little bit. Nevertheless, I'm nowhere near him when it comes to his extension and run of edge. That's something to aspire to I guess. :)
Regarding the costuming, I actually used the same guy that makes Edward's costumes. When I went in to get measured, Edward had dropped off his shirt for some alterations earlier in the week. Barak (costuming guy) suggested I try on Edward's shirt just to see how it would work on me. Believe it or not, it was a perfect fit! 8O  So if Edward's done with that shirt and I'm doing something that's a bit renaissance-oriented at the time, I may just offer to buy that off him. :D

I'm not so sure. For the standard Regionals, they only have the qualifying events on the Ice Network as well -- no Pre-Juv, for example. I believe there is a legal reason for this. If you signed up thru US Figure Skating (all qualifying events), there was some clause that essentially allows Ice Network to put your video online. There was no such legal acceptance when you sign up through the LOC. This is what I had heard at one point, but not sure if it's true.
That said, the Ice Network did include the non-qualifying teams for all Synchro Sectionals. Not sure why it would be different for synchro.
Hopefully icenetwork will show all the events at nationals. :halo:
I believe they will, since everyone must sign up for Adult Nationals thru US Figure Skating.

Last year I believe the FigureSkatingChannel showed all events from Sectionals, even though none of us was asked to clear the rights. . . (didn't they? or was it just the Qual events?))

This is true, but that was the Figure Skating Channel, not the Ice Network. I believe the Ice Network is actually owned by US Figure Skating, and hence, when they consulted lawyers about starting the Ice Network, this policy was implemented. I heard all of this 3rd hand, so again, not sure if it's true.

Actually, it was AFTER the alteration. I wasn't all that surprised that Edward and I are the same shirt size. Back in 2004, he had lent me a sweater at the Adult Nationals in Lake Placid and it fit me just fine. However, Barak was kind of suprised. I wasn't quite sure how to take that. :?: 8O ;) :)

From the press release regarding the introduction of the "Ice Network":
"In Ice Network's initial roll-out this October, U.S. Figure Skating announced plans to webcast all 2006-2007 U.S. qualifying events from the juvenile level through the adult level, with the exception of the 2007 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships."
It would appear that the present plan is to broadcast only the qualifying events. Perhaps we got spoiled by the more exhaustive coverage from the Skating Channel. Hopefully, in the future, the non-qualifying events will be included as well. Unfortunately, alot of great skating in the non-qualifying events may be missed by those not attending the competitions, short of ordering copies of the event from the videographer directly.

Hey there,
Thanks so much! A hearty congratulations to you too.
Right now, my goals are to clean up the unfortunate fits of FHS that I noticed on the video (FHS = Floppy Hand Syndrome), try to refine my stroking between my elements, clean up my elements and try to remain calm and not poop my skating pants out of sheer terror between now and April 14th.
Best of luck to you, Lauren. Hope to meet you in Chicago.

This is the waiver that you have to accept when you register online for a US Figure Skating event:
By registering for the 2007 qualifying competition season of The United States Figure Skating Association ("USFS"), and for good and valuable consideration, I release and grant to USFS, including its subsidiary and affiliated entities, and USFS authorized local organizing committees, clubs, and interclub associations, the right to use my name, likeness, image, photograph, voice, video, athletic performance, biographical information and any other indicia of identity, in any format whatsoever, from any USFS event or activity in which I participate during the 2007 qualifying season (collectively, my "Identifications"), and to distribute, broadcast and exhibit my Identifications, without charge, restriction or liability, in any media now known or hereafter devised (including, but not limited to, television, internet, web casting, and video streaming) or in various publications (including, but not limited to, SKATING Magazine, the USFS directory or media guide and marketing materials) into perpetuity, unless otherwise specified and agreed upon. I understand that I will not receive any compensation for any such use of my Identifications. It is also agreed that at no time can USFS release or authorize the use of my Identifications to an unrelated third party for the purpose of my endorsement of any commercial property, product or service, without my written permission.
Since everyone must sign this for Adult Nationals -- qualifying and non-qualifying -- I believe the Ice Network can put every event online for Adult Nationals. I don't know if they will, though.

Ha ha! Sounds a lot like mine. If I can just clean up the little things that I shouldn't be messing up on (like sloppy single jump landings, awkward transitions, a spin that is a revolution short, etc.) then I won't have to kick myself at AN for throwing away GOE's on "stupid stuff," knowwhaddamean?
I'm looking forward to meeting you at AN, too! :)

Hey Jazz,
Yup, I'm a lefty but only on the ice. I'm right-handed in most other things. When I first started skating I didn't realize I was going the opposite way for a while. It just felt natural. Did you notice that Sailer and Garber are also an opposite direction team, but she's the lefty. The lefty thing does create some challenges in pairs, but it can also look cool.
