Was it a good session? I remember skating there on weekday nights after interning for the D.C. Public Defender Service down the street. It was usually nicely resurfaced without many people. You should take the Metro to Ballston Commons in Virginia and check out the new rink there. Have fun!

There's also the Pershing Park (http://www.pershingparkicerink.com/) outdoor rink (right near the White House).
Fewer people skate at this rink (and they play better music, IMO).

Hi everyone, i'm home back in (strange but warmer) England! I haven't experiences such a bleak snow and temperature ever. The Sculpture Garden ice rink in Washington d.c was really good. The last time i went skating on it was Wednesday or Thursday of last week. It gradually got quite windy outside, and what was a full rink nearly, everyone trampled off and i was one of the last people on the ice at the time! I realised that a part of the rink was on a slope and i glided down it going backwards and forwards. Before, because it was so busy, i couldn't manage my one foot spin, but i could in the end. I think the other skaters were jealous of me because i'm a good skater:D
In the end, the weather was so bitter that i eventually had to get off. (Hopefully they were going to Zamboni it soon, otherwise it would be like skating in a field of snow)!
Anyway, back to Solihull ice rink in Birmingham, England on Saturday at 7AM for my next lesson!

Thankyou, have you been skating recently? Have you been to Washington D.C?
