FREE Open House January 28 at Voorhees!
In celebration of National Skating Month, the Virtua Health Flyers Skate Zone at Voorhees is offering a free open house, including free ice skating, on January 28 from 10am-11am. For more information, or to register please call 856-309-4400!
ITINERARY:
9:30AM- Registration- sign in/waivers
9:45AM- Staff Introductions
9:50AM- Discussion on equipment, skates, what to look for, lacing of, proper fit, attire helmets (recommended for all beginners)
10-10:30am- SKATING STATIONS
Adult 1/SnowPlow Sam 1/ Basic 1- True beginners; never skated before or public skated only
Adult 2/Basic 2-3: Forward & Backward skating skills & stopping
Adult 2/3; Basic 4-8: Crossovers & turns
Basic 8, Freestyle- Basic skills, jumps & spins
Hockey 1-2; Hockey 3-4: Hockey Skating
10:30am-10:40am- Open Skating Time
10:40am-11:00am- Introduction to Synchro Skating (Team Skating)

Sounds like a nice way to get anybody who's been interested in skating onto the ice, and a free 1/2 hr class is always a good thing (fyi, the coach who teaches the adult class is great).
