Dan Zhang in GP Final - Anorectic?

Did anyone else notice that when Dan Zhang had problems at the GP Final, the comentary afterwards was that doctors had found she had low blood levels of calcium and potassium? Put that symptom with her extreme thinness and it sure looks like she might be suffering from Anorexia Nervosa. I really hope not, but if so, I hope the Chinese will take her off the ice and get her into a treatment program.

Supposedly she will receive further treatment back in China, but somehow I doubt she will be taken out of skating before the end of the season. The Chinese federation is so focused on being at the top in pairs skating, that I feel like they would be hesitant to have their skaters miss out on any skating opportunities.

If she's anorectic and she's not treated, she's going to die. I doubt the Chinese will win any medals with that.

I agree, and would like to see her get the help she needs. I was just expressing my doubts that the Chinese federation would agree to have her take so much time awy from skating. Hopefully, I am wrong about that.
