I was at Iceland today and asked about the show in both the rink office and the skating school office. So far as anyone there knows, there is no show, just ice bought by the sponsoring group. Evidently, they tried to get high level competitive or show skaters, but no one was available for the time they booked.

Ice sculptures have become an office joke at my school.
We ran over budget on a special event, mainly because attendance went up over prior years.
Someone in Administration pointed out the purchase of a giant shrimp ice sculpture! ROTFL
It wasn't actually carved, it was made from a mold, but apparently it was about 3' high, so it was eye-catching.
(Especially with the evening Manhattan skyline in the background.)

Someone took a really nice photo of the sculpture and several of us have it as our computer's desktop wallpaper. LOL

Not the one from the show- but googling images for "Ice menorah" brings up several. Since you seem to also just want to see menorah ice sculptures.

I'm only half-joking about the ice sculpture.
I'd be obsessed if it were a giant ice PENGUIN, so we're lucky it's "just" a menorah. LOL

I went to this rink with DBNY last week. Having never been there, I was surprised that it was small; I expected a bigger lot/building/rink. (Std ice surface, but it was crammed in there.)

Now I'm wondering where they'll put the giant ice sculpture, so I really do want to see pics from this event.
(I'm betting on the parking lot or at a nearby park.)

You really ought to check google images for "penguin ice sculpture" then. You might need to travel to see some of the ones that came up.

I'm still amazed at the number of rinks you all have to choose from around there. I guess if I give myself a 2 hour radius I have 4 to pick from, but I've only ever been to the one here.
