Mira Leung back with Joanne McLeod

Weeee! This is the kind of stuff that makes figure skating the fun it is!

“After a consultation with Skate Canada officials at Skate Canada International in Victoria, it has been decided that it is in my best intrests for me to leave Christine McBeth and reconcile with Joanne,” Leung said Thursday in a statement via email.

That's too bad she switched again! Her coach, Christine McBeth teaches at our rink and Mira actually went to our club but i couldn't go see her. Our club has posted up some pictures. Here's the URL.

Thanks for the link! I looked up Christine McBeth when her name first appeared but didnt look at the site closely. So Cecylia skates at your club...awesome. She is a great skater when consistent. I see she won Junior at BC sectionals, forcing national team member Kathryn Kang to 3rd. Must have been a good competition. If Cecylia can keep her nerves in check - and lay down two good programs, she will have a good season.

AFAIK, Cecylia Witowski followed her coach, Kelly Champagne, to Coquitlam when Kelly left the Connaught and moved to teach at Coquitlam SC.

I know it's sad to have kelly leave. she was my classmate's coach. i think the director of our club fired her because she was too good, especially when Cecylia went to Russia for a competition
