The Rhumba (Compulsory Dance) results are up on the ISU website.

Wonder what happened to the Uzbekistan team to cause a deduction?
ETA:
Pairs short program results.

Ladies short program results.

Tsk, tsk. Several deductions there, too.
Too bad, I like it when everyone skates really, really well and the judges have to sweat out the winner.

Yay for Emily recovering from her disaster skates at Skate America.
Here, she downgraded her jump combo in the short to 3flip/2toe (she attempted 3lutz/3toe at Sk8 America), but she had a wild swing on the 3lutz landing. Maybe she can hold it together as well in the long?

Yay for Emily is right!! :D I'm pulling for her to win this event. At the Adult Training Camp in Hackensack she was so sweet. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I tell you that she went up to each and every camp participant on the ice to offer her help and tips.

Apparently, Bebe fell on a required jump. Too bad - I like her, too.

Bebe fell on the 3lutz (so didn't complete the intended combo).
She later did 3flip (she should have tacked on a 2toe here to make this the combo).
She also did an Ina Bauer into a nice 2axel.

She also did an Ina Bauer into a nice 2axel.I guess she couldn't think about how to fix her mistake. Maybe she didn't even remember what mistake she made.

Right.
When someone has a program trained, and it is a new program, it's likely he/she is not thinking "strategy" but just trying to remember the program in general!
I hope bebe does well. I saw her programme, and aside from the fall on the 2lutz, i think i saw a wobble on her last camel combi spin?
Other than that, she was strong as usual, graceful and her footwork was awesome. can't wait to see her freeskate

All right Evan. Carmen works its magic again for him.
Sorry about Emily and Bebe, but they were just outskated. I wasn't expecting the winner to take first place, either. Bebe had a few landing issues, but otherwise, everyone skated pretty well.
Does anyone else think that Belbin and Agosto have a very boring Free Dance??? I nearly fell asleep. I think it is a mistake for them.
I was wondering if Evan would be marked down at Worlds for using the same LP as last year. What does anyone else think?

B&A's free dance made no impression whatsoever. Igor and Marina made a major blunder with that concept. Everything about it screams 1980. It's the type of program I would expect a team like Carol Fox & Richard Daly to do during their competitive day but not by a World top 10 team in 2006. I suspect we'll see something completely different by Nationals if not by their next GP.
Z&S's program to Meditation was nice in a predictable sort of way; I much preferred the faster pace and intricacies of B&S's Olympic program.
The ladies were a zzzz. I don't understand why the tech caller downgraded Emily's 3toe; It looked completed to me.
For the love of God, would someone please cut off Davydov's mullet while he's not looking.
Ohmygod, I agree with everything you said, MQ, and was thinking it when I saw it.! LOLOL
I did not notice the issue with Emily's 3toe, I hated the mullet, S&Z were very "same" to me, and B&A shocked me with their blandness, and I was thinking "this is a program someone would do in 1990".
