Who are they??? And Shen and Zhao haven't retired???? yay!!!:)

The Ladies event looks wide open but I fully expect at least one of the Japanese to grab a podium position. I think my favourite is Yukari Nakano. Horrid leg-wrap but otherwise she's a lovely skater when she allows herself to open up to the audience. Also like Hughes and Liang.

Men....which Emanuel will show up this weekend? How voidy will his program be? Though I guess I won't find out until December when CBC finally takes the time to air the competition.

Dance...it's all about Belbin and Agosto for me. I'm also interested in seeing how the Canadian teams do though I don't expect them to get near the podium.

What does "void" and "voidy" mean in terms of a program? Failed attempts or omitted elements?

Yukari Nakano and Belbin/Agosto - I'm with you all the way.
Still rooting for Evan Lysacek, though.

I'm thinking the time difference will zap some of the skaters that needed to travel. Especially the ones who just skated last weekend at SkateCanada.

The ISU has each competition's event list/roster available online. Each name links to the skater/team bio that contains a lot of information.

For example, I didn't know who Joutin/Boncas were, so I checked their bio (http://www.isufs.org/bios/isufs00008577.htm) and found they moved up from Juniors to Seniors this year.
