Most of Nel. Trophy results are up on Ice Calc.com. So far no surprizes.
Gregory and Petukhov is currently 3rd, ahead of F & L of AZE which is pretty impressive for their first internation debut. No surprizes with Sergei and Andreev medaling, but congratulations to Miller finishing 2nd. Also it's nice to see Trufin Z. name again, and hopefully he'll get better results next time. In Pairs, Marcoux and Buntin looks like they can be a potentially good team with a win on their very first international event together, even finishing ahead of Obertas and Sokolov. I hope Spielberg and Joeright and get their act together this season because they are wonderful skaters and a great pair team who just need to land those jumps! And on a intresting note, Eva-Maria Fitze now skates pair. Hopefully she'll return to worlds skating in this division now.

In ladies, so far in the short no surprizes ethier. Very glad for Kostner, and hopefully she can keep it up in the Free. I hope Amber can move up and medal in the Free while a nice senior debut for British skater Jenna McCorkell.

THE SKATING SEASON HAS OFFICALLY STARTED!!!!! YEAH!!!!

I agree with the general assessment, but I'm not feeling terribly optimistic about their chances for landing those jumps--we've been saying they "just need to land the jumps" for three or four years now, and it just isn't happening. IMO staying ahead of Quigley & Cording here was a good sign since Q&C have been breathing down their necks for over a year. But as far as losing to Orscher & Lucash--that's not a fluke; it's going to be the norm. O&L don't have S&J's presentation level (not many U.S. teams do), but they're a much more athletic and already more consistent team. I was surprised so many people were predicting S&J to finish highest of the three U.S. pairs, personally.
