The first ever "World Extreme Ice Skating Championships" is coming to Russia!!! On September 24th Saint-Petersburg will host this unique event in the sporting, cultural and entertainment capital of the north!

Here are the results:

The first championship of World Extreme Ice Skating Championships 2006 took place in St. Petersburg, Russia. Thousands of spectators followed the competition and also on television channel ONE HUNDRED. The spectators participated in sms- text message voting in favor their favorite skater. The winners were four outstanding athletes:

1. “ice acrobats” the unconditional leaders of the competitions of steel Vladimir besedin and Aleksey polishchuk (Ukraine)
2. “jugglers and hula hooping” Violetta Afanasieva and Peter Dak (Canada)
3. “comedy on ice” the heaviest fight victory was reached by Jason Graetz (Canada). Judges decided to award the title to French athlete to Laurent Tobel but the enormous quantity sms text message votes for Jason Graetz changed the outcome of competition in favor of the Canadian.
4. “freestyle” The Denison Twins (Russia), beat Canadian Steve Taylor who jumped over a car!
