Chidlow has never been the sharpest knife in the drawer so it's not surprising that Dore can so easily manipulate her into voting for the Russians in order to help his own selfish cause.

And to think, this is the woman who was crying on CBC the day after the pairs final!!!

I don't see any problem from what was said in this article!

Unlike in a sports competition, in ANY elections in any organization, "deals" are struck in a sense...its called a "coalition" or whatever...and there is nothing wrong with that! "I'll vote for you if you vote for me" is commonplace in organizations as to elections; there are slates, and these often reflect diverse constituencies. What is illegal is: Were the rules with regard to elections violated? Were election procedures followed? Did people buy votes with money? Was anyone intimidated or harmed, or threatened as to their vote? Those are the kinds of things that normally render ane election tainted and even void elections.

Second, the OUTCOME of the election itself is given as evidence of some kind of wrongdoing -- paraphrasing, "There is something fishy about Dore being elected VP and a Russian being elected head of the Tech Committee in ice dance." First, they need to analyze ALL the outcomes of all the posts in play at this election, which they did not do.

But there are plenty of reasons why non-Canadians might have voted for Dore...."evidence" of wrongdoing is implied in stating that Dore ran for the first time, and that his opposition had experience...but its not mentioned that Dore put the Canadian Federation in the black and more...I don't know much about him, I'm not "for" him or against him at all, but to be fair, he certainly has some huge accomplishments under his belt and its obvious why a lot of people would vote for him, deal or no deal.

Warning-- do not attempt to eat or drink anything while reading this article. I started choking when I got to the part about the officials being so distracted that they drove past a stop sign and couldn't remember what they had seen at the theatre. Bring out the violins!
