Wish Stars on Ice could scoop her up, but she's very dedicated to COI, isn't she? She's been touring with them since she was a preteen, right?

I'd have to agree that she's done competing - I'd be very surprised if she did anything more than a made-for-tv pro/am. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few new cheesefests created just for her to compete.

I like the commercial. It is better than the spokesperson style of ad where they bash you over the head with the fact that the person is supposed to be a celebrity. They assume people know who Michelle is and the editing makes it interesting to watch.

It was a clever commercial, but they needed to show her name because there were no obvious clues as to who it was. (ie., skates on the chair, trophies/medals on the cupboards.)

It is being reported on FSU and Goldenskate that Michelle Kwan will be undergoing hip surgery at the conclusion of the COI tour. It is highly unlikely that Ms. Kwan will engage in eligible competitive skating in future.

IIRC, Scott Hamilton tried to get her to join several years ago, but she is very dedicated to Tommy Collins and Company... so she, like Boitano before her, will probably always be connected with just COI
