Quote taken from Skate Fans:

"I have been asked by someone who spoke with both Mishin and Plushenko today to post this.

Any rumors that Evgeni Plushenko is no longer being coached by Alexei Mishin are false.

Plushenko does have a new choreographer for his short and long programs this season. The choreographer's name is Kiril Simonov, and he has worked with the Bolshoi Ballet. Perhaps the change in *choreographers* is what prompted this rumor in the first place."

Maybe this will help bring out much more of his potential that I know he has!

that is very cool news! I wonder what this new choreographer will come up with. Plush is a very 'dancy' skater, so I hope this Bolshoi guy will be very good news :) Thanks for clearing up the rumor.

Cheers, Orable

Very good news! Plushenko has the goods - he just needs some refinement. I really hope he will get a new costumer as well. He has such raw talent - there's no limit to what he could do with a more tasteful image.

Let's just hope it'll finally work for him ..... but I have my doubts as long Mishin is still around ...... :(

Well, I'll tell ya'. I'll watch him any day, any time - bad costumes and all.

Absolutely fell in love with this kid at Worlds in Vancouver. He is just such a "neat" guy as well as having awesome talent. I heard an expression once that seemed to suit him - "As cool under fire as a mountain lake". Perfect.
