USFSA is reporting that Plushy will compete in the Campbell's International on October 5. I didn't know this but it's great - right out of the gate, the two meet (along with Goebel, Weiss, Savoie, Honda). Should be quite the show.

It's being held in Daytona Beach at the Ocean Center, October 5, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. It will be nationally broadcasted by ABC Sports on October 6, 2002 from 2:00 to 4:00 EDT. Check out the U.S. Figure Skating website.

This must be a fairly recent decision for Plushenko. The King on Ice site says that he was to do an exhibition in Poland, but opted for this competition.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see who shows and who doesn't. It would be great if they both did.
