hello...I have some questions if anyone can answer them. Does anyone know how to get into really good skating condition in order to go to the camp in Indianapolis for 2 weeks? I might want to go for 3 weeks if I get into really good condition but I need some things I can do. Also, what about the eating? I need to kind of eat right in order to stay healthy and lose a little weight. Does anyone know the basic food you need in order to skate well? Thanks anyone.

You might find you get more answers if you post this on the "On Ice:Skaters" forum.

Any healthy diet is based primarily on whole grains, vegetables and fruit, with some protein and unsaturated fat, and as little saturated fat, sugar and alcohol as possible. Drink plenty of water - at least 2 litres (68 oz) per day - and discuss off-ice training with your coach. If you haven't yet come across Carl Poe's excellent book on off-ice training, then it is probably worth getting hold of a copy.
