How would the last few Olympics (say since 1988) looked if the COP had been in use at the time?

Would it have been Brian or Brian?
Liz over Katerina?
Oksana vs. Nancy?
How would Kristy had been scored?

Just opinions and actual "fake" COP scoring if anyone is that good to come up with it. :)

Hard to say ... because we don't know how the figures would have counted in the total score.

I would say Brian O. over Brian B., though. Orser just had more going for him in his program, esp. in the choreography and the in-betweens, and that teeny tiny mistake would have been about a -1 GOE.

Liz vs. Kat, harder to say. Liz had the better overall performance/"it" factor on the night, and winning the LP might have done it for her. But the judges always liked Kat's style, so she might have had higher component marks.

Kristy would have still one, no contest.

But another contest that could have been affected was Elvis vs. Alexei c. 1994. Elvis's superior technical elements would have been more quantifiable ... but he could have been even lower compared to Alexei in the components scores. So the end result might have been the same.
