Someone at MKF listed the SOI schedule as she had received it (it's not from their official website), and according to her list, SOI will be performing all over the US at the same time as US Nationals, the Grand Prix Final, and Worlds.

I am now even more confused about B/S, I/Z and Yagudin's competitive plans.

Does anyone have any further information?

I&Z aren't doing any elite eligible competitions next season. They hope the USFSA will allow them to keep their eligibility.

As for Yagudin and B&S, I believe they are still scheduled for two GP events. I don't know how they plan to do the Final, which I'm sure they would qualify for.

I don't know why SOI doesn't at least take Nationals and Worlds off. Even before it had elgible skaters as cast members, I have always thought it was dumb for SOI to try to compete for an audience against the two biggest eligible competitions.

SOI came to my area Nationals '02 weekend. I and, I imagine, many others chose watching Nationals/ Olympic Trials in person or for free on TV rather than paying $70 a ticket to see that inane Gold number.

I thought I & Z are listed for Skate America? I hope they will be there because I am planning on going to Spokane.

The schedule is really interesting (I got one of the mailed order forms in the mail yesterday.). There seems to only be 3-5 performances per week. There'll be 3-4 performances in a row then 2-4 days off. There are also quite a few stops that have been dropped - no more Nashville or Atlanta to name 2.

SOI hasn't been to Atlanta for at least a year, I think longer. We only get COI usually. There is a Duluth stop for GA this year, though.

It's possible that Yagudin and B/S might be able to skip a show or 2 to skate in the GPF.

Will B/S be taking part in GPF (in St. Petersburg next yr?).

I thought they are only participating in Skate America and maybe Skate Canada, and that's it :?

BTW, does anyone have a tentative list of the SOI performance dates? ;) I'm saving up my honeypot for the tickets. Does anyone know how much SOI tickets cost? Berry thanks!

A complete list of US SOI tour dates has been posted here:

It doesn't look like the skaters will get any time off during Worlds...

IIRC, their webmaster posted on I&Z threads on various boards that SA and other elite eligible events that they were originally scheduled for have been removed from their schedule on their site. So, you might check their official site to help clear this up.

It's awful! I live in Southern Va, where the tour apperaed for years! Four years ago, they stopped coming! We never get any live shows in VA except for Disney and COI- which after this years show, I will not pay to go to! What does it take to get the tour to come to your area?

I don't know Terri, I live in Newport News, and I've been complaining about this since 2000, when I had to go all the way to Richmond to see SOI. And now they don't even go there! I would go up to Baltimore for this year's show, but after going to Skate America, there's no way I can rationalize the expense....and I've tried...LOL.
