I am soooo happy. I was shopping at a Chinese grocery and DH saw their pic on a Chinese newspaper. I asked someone to tell me if it meant they are going to compete, and the answer was yes, so I came home and found this article confirming it (http://www2.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2006-01/28/content_516260.htm).

This is GREAT and certainly sparks some interest in the pairs event -- at least for me!!

Maybe it won't be a Russian sweet after all!

All riiiight! That's great news! :D

I'm still blown away by their long program from 2003 Worlds. I didn't get to see it live, but I attended the exhibition and they played it on the jumbotron. Even then, blurry as it was, it brought tears to my eyes.

I read elsewhere, thet Zhao is making amazing progress with his jumps. I would love to see these two win the gold in Turino. Pairs skating just hasn't been the same without them this season.
