Check out the practice rink for the US figure skaters:

The second page has an amazing one of the stained glass...

Thanks for posting the link. I love the practice rink with the beautiful stained glass windows. The views of the mountains were just gorgeous!! And the skaters appeared to be having a lot of fun shopping. :)

This is a USA Olympian????

I think he should be removed from the team immediately. There is no equivalence to Madonna who is not a competitor nor a nation.

SHAMEFUL.

I think he showed true Olympic spirit - isn't it supposed to be about bringing people of the world together in friendly competition. Besides the USSR is not a nation either anymore, since it represented the old Soviet Union. Sure he did it because he obviously likes to court controversy:lol: but as far as I know there is no dress code for the warm-ups so he can wear what he likes. He is obvioulsy more concerned with being an individual than with being a team player but hey figure skating is not a team game so it's hardly surprisng you get 'individuals'.

Not at all. I'd rock a CCCP warm-up jacket. I think it's cool.

I would hope that US Figure Skating and the US Olympic Committee will sanction him in one way or another. I know his outfits have been known to be outlandish, but this not a matter of taste it's a matter of decorum. maybe after the Oyls if he were to edge out a Russian or some type of exchange of apparel with the competitors, but not now.

You're going to challenge a national representive of the leader of the free world about his choice of warm up gear at the world's greatest international competition when the warm up gear in question is a historical part of that very same competition? Not only is that downright tyrannical, it's unwarranted, and quite laughable. What would figure skating be like if everyone observed "decorum" to avoid individuality and drama?

Boring. Very boring. Not a sport I'd like to be a part of, but that's just me. Perhaps you disagree.

The jacket he wore refers to a non-existant country, the Soviet Union. My hope is that it represents the kind of friendships that the Olympic sports movement is meant to foster.
