She's getting married to her long-time fella, Brent Theobald.

Story here: http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&call_pageid=971358637177&c=Article&cid=1138834251904

The story does seem to focus a lot on their age difference ... I say what the hey. Love is hard enough to find. I wish them well.

I agree, who cares what the age difference is. Older men have been marrying younger women for centuries

Good for Manley! Glad to see her happy again, as I loved her programs, her joy, and her spirit at the Olympics.

Isn't that the truth. It's just like when a woman is with a lot of men over time, she's a slut; if a guy does the same, he's a stud.

Good for Liz :D - Wonderful news! I am glad she is happy and she found a great guy to be with. She definitely deserves to be happy. I know she is a very nice person and she deserves every bit of happiness that comes her way.

The only question is though - Brent earned his business degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax and now he is in Cochrane, Ont., where he teaches grade school and works at a young offenders' facility. My question is when you get a degree here in Ontario to become a teacher you are not qualified to become a teacher anywhere else but Ontario. So if they live in the Aston, PA he would not be able to teach in the states at all, meaning what would he do for work? Just wondering because it seems all that hard work he has complished in Ontario would go down the drains. So the question remains where would they live?

I remember when I went to the Legend Night of Figure Skating show which was held on March 2, 1999 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. I noticed after the show when all of the Canadian skaters were about to take a group picture of all of Canada's Champion skaters together. Liz was talking to a young cute guy on the sidelines, thinking back now I do believe it was Brent. I took a picture of this but wasn't a good closeup picture to really know it was him. But I am sure it was him now. That is funny! I wish I had the picture with me so I can scan it and post on here but right now it is in storage in BC. Just wanted to mention that!

Also, another question.. right now ELizabeth is in Turin, Italy commentating for the 2006 Winter Olympics for Westwood One Radio. Would anyone know how I could listen to Liz' commentating when she covers Figure Skating at the Turin Olympics? Is there a website on line or radio station to tune into so I can hear her commentating here in Toronto, Ontario? If anyone has any information on how I can listen to this it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!

Much happiness to Liz in the future and all the best! :) :P
