Anyone know whether figure skating will be shown in Australia, on what channels and when? I can't find anything! :frus:

According to the tv commercials, there'll definitely be figure skating on tv. And the Seven station will be covering the winter olympics. Maybe you can check out the Seven network website for details.

From Torino, Italy. The Winter Olympic Games provide the most beautiful panorama television has to offer and a priceless chance to catch the true splendour and danger of alpine sports. From the white-knuckle dash of the downhill to the grace of figure skating, this is sport at its most exquisite.]

I remember seeing posts about the limited skating spots for Australia. Who are the champions that you're sending to the Olympics?

Champion (singular), sadly. Joanne Carter won our Ladies spot at Worlds last year so she's going (after a lot of argy-bargy with our other decent Senior Lady Miriam Manzano as to who should go...but that's a whole 'nother story...)

Our Senior pair, dancers and men all tried to win a spot at Karl Shaeffer qualifying, but none succeeded. So only Jo is going.

Go Jo!!

Wow. Just doesn't seem fair that you have to qualify for every event. Hope Jo finds her skates and does really well.

She's found them again now, which was lucky. Lost for several days apparently.
