Thanks a million for that info, KittyKins! :)

I am too lazy to do all the ordinals stuff, but by looking at those scores, I would guess the placements to be something like this:

JUNIOR LADIES
1. Ashton Tessier
2. Hjordis Lee
3. Jessica Dube
4. Anna Peng
5. Krysta Pouliot
6. Natalie Mecher
7. Ashley Lovasik
8. Lisa Dannemiller
9. Michelle Cantu

The scores were VERY close though, especially spots 3-6.

I think the ordinals look like this:

Peng: 6 6 5 7 2 4 4

Dube: 3 7 2 2 4 2 5

Dannemiller: 8 8 8 8 8 8 8

Tessier: 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 (must've skated well. BTW, is she with Doug Leigh now?)

Lovasik: 7 4 7 6 7 6 7

Mecher: 4 3 6 5 3 3 6

Pouliot: 5 5 4 3 6 7 3

Lee: 2 2 3 4 5 5 2

Cantu: 9 9 9 9 9 9 9

I don't get OBO but I'm thinking it's this:

1. Tessier
2/3. Dube or Lee (very close)
4. Mecher
5. Pouliot
6. Peng
7. Lovasik
8. Dannemiller
9. Cantu

Thanks Polish and haribobo for helping me out with the ordinals. I'm glad you found the information useful.

I think Canada has a right to feel optimistic about the younger skaters coming up. I was SO impressed with the Novice Men, particularly Grant Morgan and Richard Guy (who just had a bad afternoon).

With the Novice Ladies you can really see that the US has the edge over Canada, but in the Jr. Ladies!!! I was extremely impressed with Ashton Tessier, Krysta Pouliot, and Hjordis Lee. Oh and Jessica Dube is very good as well. They are great technically and artistically. It's about time we felt happy about the women coming up especially with Jennifer Robinson not all that far away from retirement (I mean next couple of years or so likely).

I saw Louis Stong there and I believe Lisa Seargant was with him (???). Not too sure on the latter there, maybe someone else could help me out. Michelle Leigh was also there coaching one of her students (forget which one, sorry).

I am SO glad I took this event in. I was very disappointed that there was not a good turn out from the community though. The rink is slightly out of town, which is inconvenient for some I suppose. The advertizing was so-so which might be a factor as well. Anyway, they sure missed some great skating! I've been at the rink for about 6 hours today, so I'd better head off here as I start again in the morning. I'll keep you posted.

Oh, so that is who she coaches. Not too sure how my post is after yours, haha.

Oh I see that Polish and I both mentioned Ashton Tessier! :D Great minds think alike! She sure is good by the way!! :)

Results are up on the Skate Canada site and Polish's order of finish is correct (with Dube second and Lee third). Full results (and ordinals) are at:

Skate Canada also has the Huntsville SP results up and you can link to them from:

Does anyone have any reports on the US dancers? I was surprised to see Soloman/Cohen and Davis/White so low in the standings.

The ordinals for the CDs are really odd, a 1st place ordinal for the 8th place Canadian couple, Solomon and Cohen had 2 - 1st place ordinals and ended up in 6th place. The 3rd, 4th and 5th place teams had no 1st place ordinals. With 1 CD and only 8 skaters to judge you hope that they would be a little more consistent.

They were better with the OD marks, but it was the same way at the Baltimore NAC last year for the CD. I would really like to see the actual marks for this event. JK

I noticed one judge in particular that seemed way off the mark...Karen Snoddy...but this is so typical of dance competitions nationally where they usually just go for the team they are familiar with.
