"NBC Olympic chairman Dick Ebersol announced yesterday that Canadian gold medal figure skating champions Jamie Sale and David Pelletier will be part of the U.S. network's commentating team next month in Torino, Italy. NBC plans to air 416 hours of Olympic coverage spread over their various broadcast and cable networks."

So just how many times do you think NBC will bring up SLC?? How many times
will we so slo-mo of the pairs SPs/LPs, see the French judge with head of the French Fed skulking about like Snidely Whiplash twirling his moustache.
Should we devise a drinking game?

But seriously, I hope they enjoy themselves and since Pellitier is never one to miss a quip, they could be pretty good.
I'll tune in.

I'm looking forward to that! I adore them both!

Also, they just know their stuff, and I trust them except that Canadians are always so openly biased about Canadians, LOL!

But Americans are never biased toward Americans, are they? ;)

BTW, the article I quoted didn't say, but I'm just assuming that they're commentating for the pairs event only.

Count me as one Amercian who is biased toward Canadian skaters--there are many whose skating I really like to watch! ;)

Ugh...gag me with a spoon!

Sorry folks, but I have to admit that I've never been a fan of S&P.

dietcoke, I am curious to know why you don't like S&P. I don't disrespect your opinion or anything like that, I'm just curious to know what it is that you don't like! I personally loved S&P's amateur programs, especially in their last 2 years of competing...I thought they were wonderful. But I haven't been much of a fan of their pro career, and really haven't followed their skating in awhile.

To be honest, by the time the SLC Oly's were through, I had seen enough of S&P to last me a lifetime...definate media overkill, and it just totally turned me off. 8O

As to their skating, they have some really spectacular lifts, but for me, there just isn't much else there (just my very humble opinion...)
