Anyone know how he's doing? Injuries? Quads? Costume designs?

This is his season so far:

2005-2006
Marshalls U.S. Figure Skating Showcase - 1st (this event was determined by an audience vote so it really has no bearing on his competitive status)
Cup of Russia - 3rd
Skate Canada - 7th
Campbell's International Figure Skating Classic - 4th
Japan International Challenge - 4th

This is actually not a good season for him. Even though he recovered from an injury, his skating is not up to par. He had to change his program after it was already choreographed in order to include more difficult spins and footwork (which was never rated at their highest level in competition). Because of this, much of his training time was taken away from his jumps. He's gone numerous competitions without landing all his triples (doubling and even singling them in some cases), and his quad is nowhere to be seen.

He actually had a good shot in skate canada, but he suffered an injury on his second jump ( didn't fall if I remember) and that just ruined his free program.

Russia was different, good short and okay (for him) free. It got him a medal, but I personally was dissapointed with it. He seemed to slow and deliberate, almost as if he was moving from element to element. Unlike last year when his skating was both bold and graceful. I actually liked him at JIC best. He never fell and his program wasn't choppy. It certaintly wasn't perfect but it was the best idea of what he was going for.

As for costumes:

(after skate canada he considered his first LP costume to be cursed unfortunately I can't find a pic of it.)

LP 1 (he wore this for Skate canada, JIC, and Cambell's):

I actually liked this one though. It matched his program well.

This costume reflects the theme of his program "the swan". If you notice his right glove is the beak. It doesn't look so, but it gives the effect when he skates with it. Then again it does give the impression of swan bondage.

Okay that's all I can think of. As for his programs I guess you will have to wait for nats. The only thing I can say is that they're very polar, if you get that.

I think he has a chance to win nats, but not the olympics ( he actually admitted he can't beat plush). Lucky for him he's only 21 so there's always 2010.
