Figure skater Sasha Cohen , ready for anther shot at a gold medal and poised to be a US darling in the upcoming Winter Olympics in February, says cover girls have nothing on the queens of the ice.

The 21-year-old world silver medalist, who has signed with a modeling agency, was asked whether figure skaters were as catty as models.

"We might be, but you never really get to see that side of us because they never put us together in one room. Who knows what might happen," she said.

They have individual dressing rooms at Nationals now? Wow, I remember stories about head games played at Nationals (and rumors of skate vandalism as well) from many years ago.

I thought she was making a joke! It seemed funny to me, a very subtle, understated joke.

I must admit, however, I am enjoying this build up to the Olympics (Sasha was on SI, and is now in TIME, there are numerous skating shows scheduled on television, etc.)

I dread the Olympics because I fear some gut wrencher to up ratings like happened last time, but I am enjoying the build up.
