Question about Kirsten Olson?

I posted this under the USA forum, but not seeing an answer, so I'm bouncing it up here.

I've been keeping track of the two skaters that were featured in "Ice Princess" all year - Olson and Julia Cannarrazzo (sp). I know the latter is qualified to nationals, but Olson is not competing.

I went back and looked at the sectionals, and all I found was a Kristina Olson. Is that her, or was there an injury?

No, it is two different skaters. The Kristen Olson who was in the movie was injured before regionals and withdrew. Hopefully she has recovered and will be back in full strength next year!

::sighs:: I was really hoping to see her and Cannarrozzo (sp) do well at nationals. I guess I'll cheer for Julia now!

::chuckles:: It's amazing how an admittedly-not-too-terrific film can get you following careers. I did the same for years with American Anthem and gymnastics.

Wasn't Olson assigned to a pair of JGP events this year, too?
