Didn't anyone watch or didn't anyone like it?

I saw the last half of it (forgot it was on). I enjoyed what I saw very much--it's so nice to see skating a little more 'pure'...minus irritating commentary, etc., and with decent camera work. Well, when they didn't forgo the skating to show the singer---it's like these shows can't figure out how to do a split screen, fercryingoutloud. But overall, I thought it was very nice. The ice looked really great, and everyone looked to be skating really well.

Thanks, flippet, for a while, I thought I was the only one who watched it! I thought it was very good. I agree with you about not doing the split screens though. To me it's annoying to have the camera off the skater totally.
Of course, anything that Brian skates in is OK by me. I thought everyone looked great though. Also have to agree with you about seeing "pure" skating instead of the stuff we've been seeing in comps since COP. As I said in another thread, I think COP is going to totally ruin skating as we knew it. Not that the scoring was perfect the old way, but I sure don't think we have much of an improvement. Sorry for jumping on the soapbox! I guess I enjoy skating when there isn't any concern about judging much better than I do competitive skating these days.

I saw the show, too. I love the edgy footwork sequence that Brian Boitano did in one of his programs, and his death drop always WOWS me. He's so high in the air on it--talk about HANG time!!! :D

I enjoyed it! The music was a pleasant and refreshing change. (I couldn't handle the country-western catterwalling on another recent TV show.)
