Well I'll get my "best wishes for a speedy recovery" in before the inevitable happens ...

It's confused at US Figure Skating:

I am sad for our sport at this point.

OK, so she got hurt at some point around Campbell's or right after Campbell's, so she didn't practice much and the pain got worse? Or she tried to train and fell and aggravated an injury?

(trying to merge the info from the 2 articles - I'm sure we'll hear some additional versions on the telecast this weekend)

I'm not doubting Sasha's story, just trying to make sense of 2 conflicting pieces.

As an SA ticketholder, I'd say this officially qualifies as a major bummer - first MK, now Sasha. Oh well, there's always Belbin/Agosto (I'm only going for Sat and Sun, so I won't get to see the men's event.)

Edited to add that the past 2 ladies OGMs each finished 2nd at SA the previous fall (Lipinski and Hughes). If that holds true this time, the Olys should be wild - although based on who I'd like to see win the OGM, I'm hoping this year breaks the cycle.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope she recovers soon and is not set back by this.

I meant to say "confirmed" -- but had to laugh -- it is "confused" at US Figure Skating!!

Good article, Tessie -- our sport is in quite the tough place right now!!!
