Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew about any ice shows in England, particulary the London area which were looking to hire new skaters? Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks! :) Feel free to Email me at Sunkissd72@aol.com

It's not in the London area, or anywhere near it, but Hot Ice in Blackpool, a world renowned ice show, were recruiting skaters last month. That information was probably no use to you whatsoever.

There are no permanent ice shows based in London. They tend to have the usual visiting shows ie. Holiday on Ice, Disney. There are occasionally promotional shows but that just depends on whether you know someone or see the adverts.

A few of my skating friends have skated with Holiday on Ice and Disney but they tended to travel all over the world rather than being based in the UK. As Mel says there's Blackpool and also Alton Towers who certainly used to have resident skaters (I'm presuming that they still do).

Probably the best thing to do is to ask your coach as they usually know the channels to go through, contacts etc :)

Alton Towers does still have a permanent ice show but it is now their end of season. They are doing some limited shows through January and February just weekends. They will restart in March. They usually advertise or you can phone their entertainments department.

I've never heard anything good about Alton Towers' ice show. Why is this?
